Modules are not sequential and can be taken in any order. The goal of the Professional Herbalist Course is to prepare you for applying for professional membership into the American Herbalist Guild. Some exposure to studying herbal medicine prior to enrollment is helpful, but not required.

The Intermediate Module gives students in the Professional Herbalist Course the opportunity to continue their online study of herbal medicine.

All new material is covered in this module that is not included in the Professional Herbalist Course: Year 1 or Year 2 curriculum. The focus will be on additional materia medica (the study of specific herb properties by individual herb).

There are no prerequisites. Students may enroll as a continuation of the Year 1 and/or as preparation for Year 2 classes in the Professional Herbalist Course. Graduates of other one-year herbal training programs are welcome to join continuing I.I.E.I. students.

Class Format
One 3 hour class each week for 12 weeks, taught live by KP Khalsa.

  • Leaky gut and additional digestive health, including intermediate pathologies
  • Additional pain approaches, including trigeminal neuralgia
  • Additional preparations and therapeutic recipes

  • Herbal first aid
  • Learning and memory
  • Intermediate herbal dermatology
  • Essential oil therapy and pathologies
  • Vibrational and metaphysical aspects of herbs
  • Intermediate materia medica, including newer available herbs
