Cooking class June 2023 – Healthy, all time favorite Indian snacks and breakfast

Traditional recipes with modern touch. 3 classes of 2 hours each


Class 1 – June 22nd, 11:00am PST (2:00pm EST)- 1:00pm PST ( 4:00pm EST)


Recipe 1- Tarri Pohe ( Savory Flat rice with Black eyed peas gravy)

Shopping list – Thick Poha (Thick flat rice), onions, curry leaves, lemons, turmeric, oil, Mustard seeds, Green chilis, asafetida, cilantro, Black eyed peas (soaked and boiled or Canned), Grated coconut, Corainder seeds, cumin seeds, Red chilies dry, Ginger , garlic, Cloves, Cinnamon, Black pepper, Curry powder or garam masala

Recipe 2- Chutney Sandwich

Shopping list- Sourdough or Oatmeal bread, Cilantro, Green chilies, Scallions/green onions, Green garlic(optional), Beet root , Lemon


Class 2- June 29th, 11:00am PST (2:00pm EST)- 1:00pm PST ( 4:00pm EST)


Recipe 1- Kothimbir-kobi Vadi (Savory snack or finger food of Cilantro and cabbage)

Shopping list- Cilantro bunch, Cabbage, Green chili, Garlic, Onion, Ginger, Lemon, Coriander powder, Cumin powder, Turmeric, oil to shallow fry

Special Gadget – Steamer

Recipe 2- Tandool Dhirde ( Rice flour pancake w/coconut-peanut chutney)

Shopping List – Rice Flour, Salt, Cilantro, Green chilies, raw Peanuts, yogurt, cumin seeds, oil

Special equipment- Cast iron Skillet


Class 3- July 6th, 11:00am PST (2:00pm EST)- 1:00pm PST ( 4:00pm EST)


Recipe 1- Vegetable Cutlets ( Thin burgers made with all veggies)

Shopping list- Green beans, Cabbage, Carrots, Green peas, Beet root, Potatoes, Garlic, ginger, cilantro, green chilies, Chaat masala, Amchoor(dry mango powder), Corn starch, Garam masala/curry powder, Sooji ( fine semolina), Oil to shallow fry

Recipe 2- Stuffed chili with corn and Paneer

Shopping list- Paneer, Jalapeños , Corn kernels, onions, lemon, oil to shallow fry.
