Ayurveda talks about the three pillars of beauty, which are inner beauty, outer beauty and lasting beauty. In order to be beautiful in body, mind and spirit today, we all must attend to the lasting beauty. As we know, Ayurveda (“The Science of Life”) gives us the gift of a huge toolkit to stay healthy, from which true lasting beauty shines.

Having a forever beautiful face depends on using healing foods and herbs, but there’s no harm in doing a little work on the outside is there?

In this continuation of the initial class on Ayurveda facials, we’ll study natural ingredients to apply as facial beauty treatments, and we’ll learn additional facial treatments for some extra skin problems and common challenges. We will also discuss some commercially available Ayurvedic skin care products.

You will learn how:

• Further details about how the three body energies (vata, pitta, kapha) affect the skin and how we can choose proper skin remedies
• To prepare and apply many additional natural remedies, including some common kitchen fruits, vegetables and herbs, as facial treatments.
• To select the best oil for your face, including natural oils not covered in part 1.
• To use several herbal oils from Ayurveda for face health, including prepared treatments available in the marketplace.
