Do you want to know more about the human body? Would this skill support you in your career? Give you the edge in being more knowledgeable? Do you need anatomy and physiology as a requirement for certification?

Anatomy and Physiology is a conventional course—tailored for students of natural healing programs but highly functional for anyone who would like to know more about the human body and its functions.

Anatomy and Physiology is a three-term sequence taught over one year, which examines the terminology, structure, function and interdependence of the human body systems. This course includes studying the cells, chemistry and the 11 organ systems, including the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, urinary and reproductive systems. Body systems are organs and structures working together for a specific purpose. In the physiology sections, we explore different body systems and the functions of each system, including normal function and abnormalities.

The course looks at how the human body is organized and how different body parts or areas are labeled. We explore every area of the body and all the structures and organs associated with each area.

No medical insight or previous medical training is required to understand the terms and explanations in this course. The course equips you with a thorough understanding of the different parts of the human body and its functions.
