What is the Ayurveda Health Counselor Program?

This is a one-year training program that will give you a solid education on the ancient science of Ayurveda with a modern approach that you won’t find anywhere else.

Lead instructor and class developer K.P. Khalsa, Yogaraj (Ayurveda), A.D., D.N.-C, R.H. has over 50 years of experience training Ayurveda practitioners and is one of the most well-regarded natural healing and wellness teachers in North America. Course material is taught by K.P. Khalsa and I.I.E.I. faculty of trained professionals.

Lessons are pre-recorded. All weekend classes are live, with a recording of the class made available within 24 hours of the live class. You can find the recording in your account under My Courses

If you need flexibility, you’ve got it. The AHC program is organized for maximum flexibility for your schedule. Each course topic includes online classroom experience, self-study and hands-on practice client sessions. Weekly lessons are pre-recorded with 3 live class weekends per quarter.

Watch the replay! All live classes are recorded and will be added to your account, so you can catch up on your own by watching the replay.

Lack Experience? 

That’s okay. No prior related education or experience is required. We will include all the necessary skills and training to become a capable and confident Ayurveda Health Counselor.

What Will I Learn?

In this one-year comprehensive training program, you will take an Introduction to Ayurveda course plus 12 in-depth courses offered in a series of four terms: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each term you will complete 3 courses. Students who complete the entire program (600 hours over 4 terms) will earn an Ayurveda Health Counselor Certificate. You may enroll at the beginning of any term. Currently, we are enrolling students in the Fall Term. which starts on October 15.

Introduction to Ayurveda Course (New Students Only)

If you’re a new student registering for the first time, this course will be added to your account for free upon registration for the Fall Term. This is a pre-recorded, self-paced course that offers a broad overview as well as a solid groundwork to jumpstart your journey into the ancient practice of Ayurveda. This is where all new students will start their learning!  The Introduction must be completed before the end of the term.

Ayurvedic Health Counselor program and Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor course

A similar course to I.I.E.I.’s Ayurvedic Health Counselor program is being taught by K.P. Khalsa at Sevanti, titled: Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor program, but there are key differences in how each is structured and taught. Fall term content is not identical in the 2 programs. i.e. AWC through Sevanti is 4 accelerated weekends with Ayurveda basics. Certificate after those 4 weekends (Level 1) and continues with optional weekend classes, one weekend per month, for an additional year, for level 2. AHC program through I.I.E.I. is a one-year program, one weekend per month, plus recordings. Certificate at the end of the year.
